Are You Reaping The Rewards of Facebook Advertising?

You’ve probably heard how profitable it can be to advertise on Facebook. Maybe you’ve even ventured into it without any help or understanding of how it works.

Well, if you have tried it unsuccessfully or never tried it at all, I’m going to offer you some pointers that will make advertising on Facebook more understandable and easier to do.

For starters you have to understand that Facebook has over 1 billion active users.

This one vehicle gives your business the ability to inexpensively target your customers based on thousands of variables like location, age, income level, interests, marital status, and more. So as you can see, when done correctly, Facebook advertising can drive significant sales for any type of business.

You can select to advertise locally, nationally or internationally. Depending on the type of business you have (retail, pharmaceutical, legal, financial, insurance, fashion, entertainment, etc…) you will decide which geography is the best fit for your business.

Also, keep in mind that Facebook is a social medium. People interact with each other to stay up to date, to know what is happening in their social networks. They do not come necessarily looking for products and services to buy. So, it’s important to focus on establishing relationships.

If you are advertising, you can execute it through a funnel comprised of 3 phases:

  1. Awareness Phase (Upper Part) – Making people aware of your products and services. Here , you generate leads.
  2. Consideration or Education Phase (Middle Part) – Establishing yourself as the expert by providing content in terms of how-to cheat sheets, video tutorials, case studies and other forms that help you establish trust. Here you are nurturing the leads by providing immense value.
  3. Conversion or Commitment Phase (Bottom Part) – Making the sales pitch through call to actions and asking the leads to buy your products and services.

Unfortunately, many small organizations and marketing professionals fail at Facebook advertising simply because they find it too complex, or are not executing on the right strategy.

With several ways to approach your Facebook advertising, it helps to have someone who knows the ropes guiding your efforts. Want to learn more about Facebook advertising and other digital marketing best practices? Subscribe to my Youtube channel
